Delete your Ouk Chaktrang account

You can delete your account from inside the app, at any time, without asking anyone. It happens immediately.
How to delete your account
- Open Ouk Chaktrang and sign in, if you are not already.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm.
Your sign-in is destroyed at that moment and the account is gone. There is no reactivation and no waiting period.
If you cannot reach the app — you no longer have the phone, or you have lost access to your sign-in — email support@yeanseyha.dev and we will do it for you. That route exists as a fallback for people who are locked out. It is not the normal way, and you are never required to use it.
What is destroyed
The moment you confirm:
- your sign-in identity — the account you use to sign in stops existing, and the email address or Google or Apple identity behind it is removed from our authentication provider
- your email address
- your display name, and any name supplied by Google or Apple
- your profile photo, deleted from storage
- your presence record — you stop appearing as a player who is online
Signing up again afterwards with the same email address creates a new account. It does not restore the old one, and nothing from the old one carries over.
What remains, without your name on it
We do not delete the rows that record games and progress. We remove everything in them that identifies you, and keep the rest:
- your rating and rated-game count
- your game history — results, timestamps, move counts
- your progress — streak, days played, puzzles solved, coin balance, badges
- the analytics events recorded against your device, with the link to your account removed
Why. A game of chess has two players, and each finished game is stored once for each of them. Erasing your rows would rewrite the other player's own record of games they really played — their rating history would stop adding up. So your side of those games stays, attached to an identifier that is now a bare number with no name, no address and no photo behind it, and which we have no way to connect back to you.
Analytics work the same way. They are counted by device rather than by account, so removing your account from them costs the counts nothing.
We also keep a record of any action an operator took on the account — a suspension, for example. That record is about us and what we did, not about you, and it is the reason such records exist.
We may keep any data we are required by law to keep, for as long as the law requires it.
Deleting the app is not the same thing
Removing Ouk Chaktrang from your phone deletes what is stored on the device, but it does not delete your account. Use Profile → Delete account for that, before you uninstall.
If you have never signed in, there is nothing on our servers to delete — uninstalling is enough. Ouk Chaktrang can be played without an account.
